May, 26, 2009 – UGAP organized this year for the first time the Young Lions competition in Guatemala, a competition for advertising creative teams under the age of 28, in which 52 young Guatemalans entered in teams of two.
Antonio Furlán and Francisco Coutiño, an Ogilvy Guatemala creative team, has been chosen among 52 young creative teams that entered the competition.
The teams received a brief by a fictitious client and in a competition lasting 48 hours, proceeded to write a script which was entered to chose the three teams that would go on to produce their commercials. The jury deliberated and scored on a numeric system and finally awarded the winning title to Antonio Furlán and Francisco Coutiño of Ogilvy Guatemala.
Furlán and Coutiño will go on to participate in the Young Lions competition at The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, considered the world’s only truly global meeting place for those interested in creativity in communications.
